James, a human astrobiologist, joins the Human-Venlil exchange program shortly after first contact. After weeks of bonding the time has come to meet his exchange partner in person. But the implications of humanity's size compared to the rest of the galaxy, along with his already-existing fear of big things make for a complicated first meeting.
This story is set in the little big problems AU, an alternate unvierse of NOP (nature of predators) in which humans are the smallest species in the galaxy.
