Ryo has known Amethyst when they were only 6 years old.

It all started when Ryo and his parents were at the city in Violet Valley to see his mother's old friend, which is far away from Dreamland, Ryo wondered off and met a young girl his age named Amethyst, where they played together, and had a lot of fun, until her Cappy nursemaid Gertrude called for her, Ryo promised to meet her again one day, and they did 10 years later.
