Yeah, fun fact about Grub: he never really considered himself fat until someone pointed out his peculiar physique in comparison to Eva. That said, it's not really a reflection of any past life or anything; it's more like a peculiar quirk of his manifestation as a Spiritual Amalgam. Not that he's actually fat in the traditional sense. He's just a big, round ball of ectoplasm. That said, he does come to own his rotundness and eventually comes to see himself as a "fat and proud spiritual trash heap".
