-Edit: Oh my! My filthy sailor speak got in there, I guess I go a little heated last night. Here, I'll clean that up a bit-
What I've always hated about Looney Tunes is how the supposed "protagonists" are all such pretentious jerks. Smug dolts, who always win. I always wanted to see Elmer Fudd, Wile E Coyote, or Sylvester finish the job and show those creeps who's boss. Meep Meep this jerk!

I've always hated the cartoon trope of "just because a character's a predator, that makes him the villain." Even as a kid I always felt bad for those who were forced to go hungry simply because they were cheated by the writing.
Of course, I'm not saying that the predator should always win either because then the storytelling would be too predictable, but likewise they shouldn't always lose. And if one wants to argue continuity or some such nonsense, then just look at Tom & Jerry. There were episodes of that show that ended with Tom dying, so why couldn't there have been a few sprinkled in where Tom eats Jerry?
