This is Dawn's aforementioned friend Aurora, who is from the clan of of unicorns that have gone into hiding out of fear of the humans who hunted them to near extinction. After being bored of her sequestered life, she runs away from her family and ends up meeting our protagonist Dawn, which leads to the two of them going on a journey together to bring unicorns back into the world and restore the magic of the unicorns that have lost their transforming powers

Design-wise I thought I'd give Aurora cooler colors to contrast Dawn's warmer colors
