wanted to submit this will get scrapped because it's not as important to me as my art work.
this is all the fuss I've been working on in college
model is 10,322 tris rendered in mental ray and yes photons are on and no I don't know how to turn them off any help?
I've added the normal, spec and texture below for the 3D critics.
when I graduate I'm hoping to become a surfacing artist. any critic?
I'm better off submitting this to DA..

I'm working on the same sort of stuff, well done with the model, the texturing looks superb. You may want to discolorize your character along the model to give the impression of circulatory workings. I notice a lack of emphasis on vein/artery structure, especially for such a muscular creature. Is your character fully quaded? o:
thanks for commenting. I didn't make him vainy because he is covered in scales kinda like a crocodile, he does look kinda dark but that was caused by the HDR image and I dimmed the lights down a little. and he is meant to stand on his hind legs like a human as if he was some kind of weird splice.
I see that yeah, what I meant, was in vitals locations such as the jugular, even with something leathery thick you're going to see the larger more rigid vessels pushing a little outward. They did that with the character models for the Incredible Hulk movies, and in the newer one, they're coupled with an animated texture that passively shows off circulation in the bio-weapon creature. Just a suggestion is all. Good work so far! :)
