This is a tiny setting that just came to life spontaneously. I want to make a dragon series in this theme, and maybe one day I'll develop it into something bigger!
However, it's not a closed species or anything, so you can still feel free to "untie" the character from the story and setting and use it however you see fit :3

Imagine a world where, in order to enjoy a cup of tea, you have to... Get the approval of a dragon.
The tea plantations here are almost like Paradise Gardens. And the dragons - the local guardians - carefully protect every bush and every tree, allowing only the worthy to collect leaves from them.
The thing is that people once treated the Gardens too carelessly. They destroyed the plants, spent their resources without a sense of proportion, devastated the lands and chased profit, losing sight of what exactly fell into their hands. Only a few were able to understand that with careful and sensitive handling, tea leaves open up in the drink, granting extraordinary powers. It is these powers that the dragons now protect, zealously driving away everyone in whose intentions they sense evil intent.
