Encounter of the Fifth Kind [Chapter 1 END]
"Come on! The sun's already starting to show up and I want to get back to the condo pronto.
Artificial or not, this weather isn't doing me any favors!"
"Looking back and down at our footsteps engraved on the pure white ground, and acknowledging their existence.
To see how far our steps have taken us all, it's a... comforting feeling."
"Huh?"
"Could you please let me enjoy the snow a bit longer, Momo?
It's not like I got to grow up with the stuff."
"For someone so smart, you sure do have a knack for sounding like
one of those overly deep motivational posters over the smallest of things, Dilyss."
"Haha. I suppose that I do."
2025 will make the year of plenty of fun stuff and stories.
This story has been in the back of my mind for over half a decade and while it has changed, the core remained the same.
It pains me to have to split it into two parts but I need to slow down for my health and work on other things; figured this is would be a good place to stop and take a break.
I hope you've enjoyed the tale so far and I can't wait to get back to it, sometime this year. Plenty of growth pains and mysteries to uncover, I assure you.
... 6h45m. My longest illustration in a long time. Sheesh.
Feel free to leave your honest critiques and opinions so far down in the comments ^^
I know it's not everyone's cup of tea and I hear at nauseam that "Sylveon was better" but hey, I'm passionate about this.

So, is Dilyss who the kid grew up to be? If so, she turned out beautifully.
I'm seriously excited to see the next part of the story, but I'm also glad you're taking care of your health first and foremost. We'll definitely be patient and ready for the next chapter if and when you're ready for it.
Thanks for all the stuff you do! <3

Honest critique? If anything when you use a highly stylised font it could use a longer thought on what colours are used. For ex. in page 16 the quoted text was barely readable for me and I needed too look at it on full resolution on a monitor. The 2 very light colours almost gave the effect that old 3d images for blue-red glasses had when viewed without glasses.
Other than than I am excited for the rest. I don't have the full grasp on the story yet, but that is normal when it is not finished.
As for working slower- take Your time and take care of yourself. It's better to get something slower, than not at all if You hurt yourself.

Haha fair enough. I do tend to give those things a lot of thought especially with how important color is to my story telling. It's not that uncommon for me to use hard to see colors or text to force extra attention on certain areas. It is hard to keep the artistic intend balanced out with the reality of people having different different monitors and color blindness.
I do take the feedback like this seriously though and I'm already in the process of editing the pages to have them be more universally readable.
Thank you for your kind words and I hope the read was overall still enjoyable ^^
