Piru Athir made a name for herself on the roads as a skilled rider, so now we get to see her trusted mount. Kuku is a turkrane, a massive riding bird renowned for their intelligence and grace. They can run very fast and fly for limited distances (especially when their rider is a felinis who can literally make herself weigh less). Turkranes can also defend themselves with beak and talon and if need be, induce drowsiness by raising their elongated tail feathers in a magic hypnotic display.
Characters are mine. I wanted to flesh out my world some more with an unusual blend of turkey and crane (because how many warrior characters ride into battle on their ferocious Battle Turkey letting out its proud War Gobble?). This was beautifully realized by
