as mentioned in this piece, Cassius started as an improvement on Clovis, stemmed from a dream, while in his later years, he takes a lot more inspiration from another coyote: Laika from Laika Aged Through Blood, with his Australia saga and beyond that. And I wanted to pay a homage to the inspirations, while also getting Clovis on the first page of my new sketchbook, as is now tradition

As for the piece itself, it was supposed to mimic the style of the Bad Apple music video, with the black and white contrasts.
as for the piece itself, Cassius is intentionally offcentered, with his head being more on the clovis side, as he thinks more in line with him, while the rest of him, especially the heart is more in line with Laika. Laika has a far more open and exposed side to show that he's more comftorable with himself later on, while on the Clovis side, Clovis is more covered up. Furthermore, the left represents the dark side of Cass, the paranoid and bitter criminal, while the right represents the more vengeful and brutal but fair and welcoming side he takes with most people.
