born 9/1/1981, making him 43 years old in the story's present day. his mom is oma and his dad is jonas, although jonas didnt stay in the picture too long. anyway, his was born in iowa, but raised in miami after the scuffle between his parents ended up with his dad arrested and his mom taking custody of him and relocating to florida. his mom was in her 20s during the whole hippie thing and that left a huge impact on her so he took after her interest by also going with the psychedelic stuff. what else is psychoactive? drugs

so kamo went to college for a bit but dropped out to self study chemistry. he roomed with a guy named Buckyball who was just as eccentric as he was and that really boosted his interest in chemistry. kamo, when he was still in college, did grow his own "sacred herbs" and whatnot to make some money, but he figured his passion for chemistry crossed over nicely enough with drugs that he'd make his own. so he became a drug cook and that's his thing. he does it for fun. for some family members, the crimes they do is out of sport, or strictly for the money, or as art. for kamo, it's a hobby and a passion.

kamo never took life too seriously. he's lighthearted and humorous, almost dangerously careless, but has an incredible sense of work-life balance. it is at the cost of him being rather sloppy, undisciplined, and avoidant of responsibility.

then he met makoma, the mechanic running the chop shop, because his own car was stolen. he tracked it down to the shop and instead of calling police, he admired her craft and she (while suspicious) took a liking to that. but the two dated, lived together--which let his girlfriend find her direction in life--and later on the two packed up shop and went to california instead where they are today.... with two kids, kokomo and koma, raised on his same goofball demeanor
