Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Yes, modular can be a slippery slope but there are many ways to break into it. One question that I've learned with experience is, it can help if you have an idea of what you want to do with it. Do you want to just have something to experiment with? Do you want to make music and sell it? Do you want something that looks cool to impress your friends? Hehe you can do all or none of this. LMK if you have questions.
Honestly, I think I'm drawn to modular in a few ways; I'm not big on making super-polished music to sell, but I like the open-endedness of modular, and that you're building a custom instrument to make exactly whatever sounds you're the most interested in. (I think it's really cool that everyone's choice of modules tells you a lot about what they're personally the most interested in)
