even just the pose here, it looks like glados is studying chell! i think this is an awesome piece even in its unfinished state, i'm imagining more detail in chell's face and musculature and i'm not sure if it even helps really. this way it looks kind of washed out and gives it a different look, it's very strong
Eh, stasis makes plenty of sense going into 2, but if I remember right, the idea of cloning being a possibility is in something GLaDOS says in the first one - greeting Chell like she's been there before, done this stuff before. A little hard to determine anything definite since Chell is mute, but a theory is that Chell was her 'favourite' and the testing had to continue one way or the other. I never found a confirmation or denial in regards to it though.
Another theory I read was that Chell was the boss man's daughter, the potato extravaganza only having been a way to find potential future 'employees'.
