He had followed the whispers, the signs, the burning pull in his chest that told him she was still out there. And now, it had led him here—to this sprawling metropolis that had no place for a creature like him.
He stood amidst the chaos, muscles coiled, golden fur bristling as his sharp eyes darted across the endless maze of streets and alleys. He had spent his life tracking prey across untamed land, where instincts and Soulfire guided his every move. But this place? It was nothing like the wilderness. He couldn’t hear the wind, couldn’t trust the earth beneath his feet. Everything was too loud, too fast. And worst of all—he had no idea where to start.
Tightening his grip on the knife she had given him, he exhaled sharply. He couldn’t afford to hesitate. Somewhere in this city, Luca was being hidden. And no matter how lost he felt, he would find her.
