Regardless of critic response I liked this movie, and liked the guest appearance in Kingdom Hearts. Not in my Top 5 Disney animated films, but enjoyable.

You could retcon this back to it's root children's story and the context and assigned crossed characters would still be the same.
Thievul would definitely make a great "Foxy Loxy" in that iteration, since he ended up eating everyone in the end of that version of the story.
