Gasp, Rhody's posted again a few days later? Hell must have frozen over~ x3
So, gold star to anyone who remembers this guy, I drew him way back in 2017, and he's been on my mind every since. I was sad to see that the original creator deleted the games off his newgrounds page, but there's flash archive sites everywhere, so I'm still able to revisit this old lynx.
And here we see Gyro, kicking back after a long day of adventuring ^^ enjoying what's left of the setting sun while he airs out those tired dogs.
I tried something a little experimental this time, see, the definition of a "finished" piece for me has traditionally been sketch > clean lineart > color > high quality shading, but the problem with that model is that it's very time consuming >w> you all know, it'd be a month between postings, if even. Gyro here however took a different turn, I sketched him up after posting the 2024 pic, and from that rough sketch, I slapped on some color, and added some shading and called it a day. Because while I did a ton of sketching over the 6 months of hiatus, I did not do a lot of rendering, so what better way to improve at that, than to get drawings from sketch to rendered as quickly and efficiently as possible ^^
I get to fail faster, my backlog of sketches doesn't pile up as fast, and people get more art, everyone wins. And in the case of Gyro, I'll definitely be drawing this lynx more often. I cut it off at one sketch, but in the last 6 months I learned that rarely 1 sketch is enough, there will be more~
Anyways, enjoy ^^
