I just used the eliptical marquee tool in Photoshop and colored the border with a very soft brush in different colors. Technically there is no right or wrong way to color the bubbles, since the light refraction in the bubbles makes it possible to have different options, but it would help to use a visual reference to give yourself a general idea.
