Actually i found it sort of endearing.

The unity of the "No" made me chuckle, and kind of fits the "growing as a team" arc to boot.

Nothing like life threatening situations to get people to put their petty grievances aside and start working together. Heard it happen with soldiers in real life plenty of times.

To be honest, it's "Set aside your differences, or become another tally mark on the enemy's gun".

Or in some cases "Well look at that, we do bleed the same color."

I love Tristan's dynamic pose here. I'm biased OFC. My own Sona being a monkey and all, bit I've always had a huge soft spot for Tristan. Love his design, story and mannerisms. I also dig that he's half lizard! Such a cool idea.

I feel this comic wraps up the first leg of their journey and the initial step towards lasting personal growth for all of them <3

Aaah, the usual DnD party.
They start up with their own wants and needs, collide somewhat, and then the struggle comes. They unite, and then bonds are formed, and the gears start to go smoother from there on. 🧡

It will be interesting to see who becomes the leader of the group. My vote goes for dual leadership depending on the situation. Miralle might be better suited for social and diplomatic situation while Leo is the man when actions are asked.
But we will see.

I like the way you think.

I think a commanding officer (CO)/executive officer (XO) dynamic could work.

CO is the highest ranked and is responsible for accomplishing the mission and getting the boat and crew back in one piece if at all possible, and as such they have the broad vision of the mission and where their ship fits into a larger whole in mind. The XO is the one tasked with making the CO's vision happen, so they are more in tune with the nitty gritty of what specific tasks need to get done to achieve that mission such as who is doing them and how it's getting done, they're also the one who makes sure things like training are up to date. They both have to work hand in hand and have some visibility into the other's world, because if things aren't getting done or if the vision can't be done then the CO gets in trouble when they fail to deliver the mission they took on, and the XO can't carry out the vision if they don't at least have a little understanding of what it is.

So Miralle was put in charge by the Tree, she trusts in the Tree's philosophy more than Leo does, the others (except Nigel) have trust in her leadership, and if the group fails she's where the "buck stops" because she was put in charge; however Leo can break people down into skills figure out how to apply them and isn't afraid to give out orders when push comes to shove.

Sure, Nigel: if you defeat a giant monster spending your own life force to do it and avoid another member of the team to freeze to death always using your life force, you get to be carried too!

I do recall a Burglar being invaluable and even pivotal in another story.

I must say that I am impressed with the first steps as far as teamwork is concerned; that's an improvement for sure. Also, by the way, I should add that that "No" altogether at the end was a nice touch as well.

Tristan was already scouting ahead, so either out of earshot of the question or even if he heard it his answer would be closer to any hypothetical danger ahead than the other twos' answers, especially since he'd have to be louder to be heard over the distance.
