As revealed in a past picture, a lot of the Stellar Typhoon's internal workings are concealed in difficult-to-reach areas, generally above the ceiling. Often, the only way to deal with faults in such areas is by going up a stepladder. Such is the case for Maddi Norton, but even the act of fixing this apparently simple electrical fault comes with its own hazards - namely, that little troublemaker Carla Ravenscroft suddenly requiring the ladder for her own purposes.
And yes, I'm fully aware this is an old joke - my weakness for stupid puns knows no bounds.
