In his function as building tool for ascended beings, Kusesu is forced to wear a mask in more than one way. His stoic expressions are broken by ripples of emotion only consciously and intentionally.
His demeanor of absolute tranquility and confidence is lifted only in the most silent and hidden moments of his many lives. Carefully engineered to allow him a semblance of expression that would go unnoticed by his opressors - much like the Temples he builds for them.

The same demeanor also earns him unwanted fellowship. He, unsurprisingly, despises the "Spiritual Royalty" that shackles him into his cursed mortality - all the more ironic he should be revered by worldly worshippers. Mortals have a funny way of /insisting/ that is hard to get away from - so he grants them their whimsical attachment to him and offers guidance and councel, if only to avoid acting the same way he is forced to endure.
At least that is what he would have you believe.



Of course, as it often happens, life always finds a way to have him meet forces beyond even his recognition as a demigod. Forces that are so beautiful in their simplicity, that no one could ever hope to build them on purpose - not even him.
