Aircraft!
I kinda just made the plane up on the spot, anyway I think I'll leave this one in the gallery as a finished sketch.
EDIT:
I like how this has become the Everybody try to figure out what this plane looks like response frenzy.

I was sorta thinking about the P-36 when I was drawing this. The P-36 being the radial powered predecessor of the P-40 I always thought it was kinda neat. I imagine that if development of the P-36 had continued they would have modified the cowl and added a big nose cone like this to make it more aerodynamically correct.
I hope you dotn mind my opinion, but this fine bird is neither a P36 Mohawk, not a Razorback P-47D.
I think she looks like a hybrid of two planes. wings aside, the looks to be a CA-12 Boomerang, with the cowl of an A6M Zero. tight in against the cylinders like that and the large prop cone greatly improve performance. wings are definatly of the Curtiss "Hawk" Series of planes.
Now that i think about it, i call that its most influanced by a Bloch 152, a french figher that saw action with the Vichy French in North africa against the american P-40F and L model warhawks with their nifty pakard built merlin engines....didnt fair very well, but pretty
*pant pant* i am such an airplane geek. damn...

Hehe, I like how this has become an "Identify the plane!" contest. I seriously drew this sitting in the car with no real reference.
Anyway most of those planes have elements of this one. I was thinking of the hawk series wings. With the engine cowl and nosecap I knew that the more streamlined spinner and cowl would make it more aerodynamic, hell it worked for the zero, the FW190, and a lot of those cool russian aerobatic planes. The rest of it is just me going "Well that looks about right but mr. DeSeverski will laugh at me"
