"Hmm, your powers are quite something, Fox. Very much nothing that I've seen on Sauria or anywhere else I've been to. It seems that even after your time in that loop, it seems that you can command them rather well."

General Ivan Scales, ruler of Sauria, as well as Fox, a young vulpine mage he picked up, were retrieving their supplies after a bit of experimentation they worked on together to test Fox's magic.

"It's nice to see that you're settling in pretty well. You might not look the part, but you've been pulling your weight around here quite fine, not to mention you don't seem to fear me or my men despite how small you are compared to us."

Of course, Ivan knew that Fox didn't have that fear because he was actually draw to men like himself.

It was hard to think that a week ago, Fox had suddenly appeared on this planet. He was found and brought to General Scales by some patrolling Sharpclaw, and after a rather interesting interrogation to which he learned that Fox had no memories, and was just released from a time loop to which he was stuck in for eight years, was deemed not a threat and welcomed to the kingdom.

Though Fox had been slowly remembering things here and there, the young fox had happily taken his place among Ivan's men.

"Well, I kinda got the hang on it now that I know what I can do. Better than just having them dictated by my emotions." Fox replied, scratching the back of his head.

The small fox then looked at the sharpclaw, pausing for a second and letting out a bit of a dreamy sigh.

"Well, what you can do is impressive enough as my men can't use magic like that. Last time I saw magic of the sort, it was from a tribe of f-"

The general was cut off as he felt Fox wrap his arms around him and nuzzled his chest affectionately.

Honestly he didn't know how to respond to this situation, and just stood there, holding his sword and shoulder piece. He didn't really mind it or anything, especially since he knew Fox was fond of headpats and other gestures of affection; Fox had grown pretty fond of him, and even his men seemed to enjoy being affectionate with the little vulpine.

"Man, you're amazing~"

Ivan took a second to put his sword down and give Fox the headpats he was so fond of.

"Well, I can't argue with you there. I am known for being great."

Fox chuckled as a response, and the sharpclaw smiled a bit and looked to the side.

If there was one thing Ivan did really love about Fox, it was that the little guy really knew how to stroke his ego a bit. Fox really was fond of Scales' body, and though said body was for function, as well as intimidating his enemies, he wasn't exactly going to turn down one who seemed to admire it.

"You are a strange one, Fox. Come, let us head back to my chambers and have some food. I wish to know if you've remembered anything else since you've arrived here..."

I like the name Ivan for him~

Basically this takes place eight years after the events of the Lylat Wars.
During the war, Fox is attacked by a creature that transports him into a timeloop in which he gets stuck in for eight years, slowly losing himself and his memories. After being released all of a sudden, he finds himself on Sauria, ruled by the Sharclaw, and meets General Scales, to which the two of them become good friends and even something more later~
