Well this is it so far, i shaded the pants and shirt added texture to the skin also. I'm thinking of adding a tattoo ore markings so he does not look too plane looking.

Where is he sliding to? If he's sliding downwards with the pull of gravity, why not rotate the character clockwise some 15° or so to move his center of gravity away from his rear leg, inbetween his legs to make him be pulled forward a bit more?
