Before they were a couple, well, before they became a married couple, Dakara and Irshi were both Fire Fighters at San Diego Station 45, Engine 45. Very early in Irshi's career, her and Dakara responded to a fire alarm call (for those not in the know, this is an automated alert from the alarm to dispatch. Could be nothing, could be a fully involved roaster), and when they arrived, it turned out to be a empty office building, with fire showing on side one (street). Per protocol, Dakara and Irshi both jumped out to lay the supply line (Irshi is still in the OJT phase, and Dakara was having her shadow him). When they dragged the supply line to the nearest hydrant.... they found that some rich A-Hole had parked their very expensive Rolls Royce directly in front of the hydrant. Dakara had Irshi wedge the hose under the rear tire, and motioned for the engine to continue to the fire building. After that, the following conversation took place:

Irshi: So... it's parked in front of the hydrant. What am I supposed to do?
Dakara: A Rolls Royce Phantom XIV. Expensive car. I've put out fighter jets that were cheaper than this thing.
Irshi: So what are we sup-
Dakara: (lifts up his Halligan Bar) Easy!
Irshis: Oh!

Dakara immediately smashes the Driver side window, and then as Irshi slides the hose through that side, he smashes the passenger side window. Irshi then hooks the hose to the hydrant, and on command, charges the line.

Later, as the two come out of the building from battling the blaze, a man in a very expensive suit approaches them, and demands an explanation for why his car was damaged. Dakara smirks and tells him that he was parked in front of a hydrant, which is against the law. The man in question then threatens to file a lawsuit, at which point Dakara responds:
"Dakara Gunter Noveris. Fire Fighter. Station 45, Engine 45." And flips him his middle finger.
