Been playing "Traveller" with the boys, and my Vargr ended up with one hell of a pre-traveling story. He grew up sickly, but involved in quite a lot of different engineering and hands-on activities. His dreams of becoming an engineering scholar were dashed as the Imperium drafted him into the Army (Cavalier). Despite his sickly upbringing, he performed well as a Cavalier on a gunship, and rose to the rank of Captain after nearly 14 years of service. With a new cybernetic combat arm installed and a new opportunity to make some credits, he sets out with a new crew headed by an enigmatic Aslan...
