The other difficulty is that I'm just not a big fish fan - in fact, in real life, fish sort of scare me.
I knew I couldn't attempt a fully realistic fish transformation, I'd have to stay in kind of cartoonish territory and keep some form of expressiveness. Cartoon fish I can handle much better.
