Something I've been very slowly working on since I moved to the USA. Note to everyone - buy a taxidermy form with a separate lower jaw. Hollowing that out was not fun :p
I bought a taxidermy nose but was unhappy with how small it was (was the largest available) so I sculpted a new one. I also sculpted the lips.
I'm currently debating if I should use the upper teeth or not. if not then he will have a much gentler expression but might look rather gummy on close inspection XD Probably what I'll do is just lower the upper lip.

Have you considered doing wolf-skin costumes a la Zhon (from DA). My friend and I purchased one of her costume pelts (a black female wolf) and while I love Winnipeg very much, it distresses me that I'm unable to take her out as much as I'd like. Not to mention I think actual costumers are more superior sculptors. What would the approximate cost for something like that be? Or a reproduction of what I current have with a better face?
I think I know the sort of thing you mean. I guess it would depend on what exactly you'd want, but I'd probably make the head like a normal fursuit and then have the rest like a cape w/armsleeves. I thought of making this head able to fit on a human head like a hat with holds in the paws but I don't want to carve it out that much ;p
I understand you on the whole hollowing out thing. I got a lion head with a closed mouth for my D'rakka trophy head....I wanted an open jaw. So I carved, hollowed out, and detached the lower jaw.
As for the upper teeth. maybe hollow out the upper jaw a little more and add to the upper lips?
Other than the snarly-face, it looks awesome so far. How'd you achieve the texture on the nose/lips?
