I'm slacking in the story department for both Spyral and Umi, but the working idea is that Umi is absolutely perplexed and enamored with owl-kind, but specifically Spyral because you know-- shiny wings. She's been stalking him poorly, and he's aware she's been following him. One morning she finds an opportunity to pin him and introduce herself.
She has no social boundaries, and he's completely oblivious. Hardly original, but I love them. I ship 'em!
