Hello RGibson, I have a question that I'm curious about your character Jack Salem. Did any of your stories ever explained why Jack Salem is like that. How did he became that very evil. How he became the sadistic, psychotic killer that he is now. Is there any backstory that explains it all. By the way, nice butterfly art.

I did do a rather extensive biography of him that was serialized in Yarf back in the day, and later collected in a single volume titled Monster. That's long out of print, but I do have a PDF version for sale if you're interested. But short answer is (mostly) that's just the way he is. In his world, some carnivorous species are born with more of their predatory instincts intact, and if you combine that with someone who has a sociopathic personality, bad things can happen.

Papillon was a store that sold mounted/framed butterflies, sold new age/ambient music (and sold the CDs too). A really serene place to visit during lunch. Ideally, you could've sold your art there as an alternative?
