I remember this idea! Is this like that one-sided press version that stores the subject's reality in a vial or something? The curtain is a fun detail, it gives it a magic show sort of vibe. Wonder what the implications of becoming fiction would be, would someone else become the owner of your cafe?
If this was the last copy of Dij and Canon I bet who was running the press would be given their responsibility, at least temporarily till that bottle of essence was used! Then it would go to them!
I like the idea that the subject is still in the painting even if they are "fictional" just not doing a lot of thinking as they are art at the present! :3
