I've always had an appreciation for well done graphic work, especially if the company in question doesn't even exist, as in most media, movies, games, TV, novels... on it goes. These days it's becoming more and more prevalent to see readily recognizable icons that are completely fictional in nature.
So, here's a collection of either favoured, or well known company logos. I'm sure you all should recognize most of these. Everyone is a company of evil intention or at the very least ill repute.
These were all done with a rather old program called Canvas 6.0 - it's what was illustrator before adobe bought the rights. While these are all in black and white, the colors/transparency and all sorts can be altered, as well as size. If you would like a copy of a specific logo for whatever use, just note me. I have these and a few more - not to mention making these up is pretty easy and the sizing is infinite.
Any others you can suggest that might look good?
Edit: Here's the list for any interested
Left to right, top to bottom
- Blue Sun: TV show, 'Firefly' They were a all pervasive company of questionable stature. Think Wall-Mart but about 20 times worse.
- Central Services: Movie, 'Brazil' A large government run contractor mired in red tape and corruption, 'help' from Central Services was anything but, and tended to end you worse off then when you started.
- Omni Consumer Products: Movie, 'Robocop' A Megaconglomco that had all sorts of public/private/government contracts, several of which were of highly questionable and often times illegal in nature.
- InGen: Movie, 'Jurassic Park' Privately funded company which had no issues with 'playing god' and doing genetic research of a highly questionable nature.
- Umbrella: Game, 'Resident Evil' Huge city/state like company who completely envelops entire territories to do all sorts of questionable activities, typically underground and usually dangerous/illegal.
- Matanza Arms Corp: Movie, 'Avatar' Matanza, meaning 'massacre' in Spanish, is a weapons manufacturing firm creating highly modular and very lethal weapons platforms. I think it's safe to say that most weapons companies can be classed as 'questionable.'
- Yoyodyne: Movie, 'Buckaroo Banzai' Front company for invading aliens to conduct business and generally 'hide' from the public while doing all sorts of questionable activities.
- Weyland Yutani: Movie, 'Aliens' Almost needing no introduction, this Megaconglomco has had no scruples at all in being completely two faced in it's motives around the galaxy.
- Massive Dynamic: TV show, 'Fringe' Super large, mostly government contracting corporation which steals technology from another reality, to sell in it's own. As much good as they do, is equalled in questionable and evil activities.
- Black Mesa: Game, 'Half Life' Again needing almost no introduction, a rather large company with numerous government ties, conducting all sorts of advanced physics experiments with out too much in the way of oversight or restrictions.
- Lunar Industries: Movie, 'Moon' Exceptionally large energy firm tasked with collecting HE3 from the moon. Their policies and practices however in doing this bring up serious morality issues.
- Aperture Laboratories: Game 'Portal' Another large company with several government ties, again fiddling around with high energy physics, perhaps not so questionable in bending the lines between realities, as so much questionable practices involving the human race.
- Benthic Petroleum: Movie, 'Abyss, Terminator2, Twister' While trying to be classed as a good company, frequently their company is involved with quite a few disasters, and the logo is typically seen on equipment/vehicles which typically explode/break/fail in catastrophic ways.
- Multi National United: Movie, 'District 9' Multi industry company tasked with 'alien control' in South Africa. Several violations both in basic rights and highly questionable R&D tactics are commonplace.
- Resources Development Administration: Movie, 'Avatar' Yet another Megaconglomco which rivals governments, In the business of energy and mining, and when it comes down to it, the furtherance of the human race, therefore most everything else is deemed secondary to this pursuit. Naturally atrocities aplenty are committed as a result.

I gave it up in 1997, realizing it for what it is. Shows that are kept /just/ interesting enough to make you sit there so you can be spammed with commercials at least 4 times per hour. You would be amazed how much more time you have in your life and how much more fulfilling it can be when you give up the box.
Granted, I still watch movies, and some select television shows - but on my time, and with all commercials cut out. (downloaded)

Finding a good reference also tells me it's not as blatant as I remembered; the Lunar Industries bit is in fact more subtle than I gave it credit for. All the same: http://images.all-free-download.com.....logo_29656.jpg
The "Li" logo, if you made the dot on the i rounded instead of square, would be remarkably close to the old Litton "li" logo - just in mixed rather than lower case. That logo used to be on our microwave when I was a little kid!

Yeah. To be completely fair, letter art with those two letters in that style SHOULD naturally be pretty hard to differentiate, but also, as the back catalogue of human creativity grows, it leaves less unexplored artistic territory. This does not make it very much less amusing to find similarities, though!
RDA:"the furtherance of the human race"
You mean furtherance of thier bank acounts. Read some of the background info on them, the only thing they care about is money. To the point that they are purposely making the already polluted atmosphere of the earth worse so they can start selling clean oxygen at a premium.
