As I’m sure you know by now, a lot of my characters happen to be professional fighters. Be they pro wrestlers, boxers or martial artists. What you may be wondering though is who pays them for their performances? Who slaps their faces on official merchandise? To answer that question, allow me to introduce you to the North American Animal Fighters Association (or N.A.A.F.A for short). Founded by Austin Warner III over two decades ago, this federation is all about seeing anthropomorphic fighters punch, kick and slam each other through tables for entertainment. N.A.A.F.A ended up exploding in popularity almost as soon as it debuted. Originally starting off as a wrestling league, the organization ended up expanding to include other types of combat like boxing or MMA. Part of N.A.A.F.A’s success can be attributed to the fact that they are notoriously willing to collaborate and work with other fighting leagues as a form of cross-promotion. It isn’t rare to see their top talent fight against opponents from other federations. After a long string of success, the organization has managed to spread their operations out to the point where they now hold matches and fights across all of North America. With arenas established in Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and the United States, the business hopes to one day expand to other corners of the world.
Of course, every business has faced tragedy at one point or another and N.A.A.F.A is no different. A lot of their initial success can be attributed to their talent. One of them in particular was a wolf wrestler named Steve “Blood-Moon” Colten. Steve was arguably the most important talent during the companies early days until he tragically died in a car accident. With his star wrestler and close friend now deceased, the CEO of the company decided to immortalize him by putting Steve’s silhouette on the company logo. That way, his legacy and image would hopefully never be forgotten…
Sorry for the history lesson, folks. I just wanted to share the fictional backstory of my fighting league. This is the organization that employs most of my OC’s. There are a few characters like Hilda or Franklin who aren’t directly affiliated with N.A.A.F.A but for the most part, the majority of my characters fight for this company. I hope to go over more of the companies backstory and staff in the future so lemme know if you want to learn more about them.
Also major kudos to
Pawmageddon for drawing this neat emblem for me. Go pay them money to draw more logos for fictional corporations.
