The Serpentine Strangler Vs The Oversizer (1/3)
It was time at last for the wrestling champion to defend his title. His face hidden under a mask, he had made his way to the top unbeknownst to any of the people in his life. He fought opponents of many shapes and sizes, squeezing victory after victory out of each one, but none were quite like the challenger staring him down tonight. He was cute to say the least, also sporting a mask and leather outfit that almost complemented the champion's own. He even reminded the champion of his good friend back home, though there's no way he would ever have anything to do with wrestling. The champion chuckled at the mere thought of it.
"You sure you're up for this?" the champion taunted from across the ropes. "There's no shame in backing down before it's too late."
"Oh don't you worry about me," the challenger retorted. "I think I've got a shot."
That was when the challenger began to grow.
The Serpentine Strangler, running champion of the All-Weight Wrestling League, watched the Oversizer live up to his name as he began to tower over the snake without even stepping onto the ring. He kept his face calm, but seeing the red masked moose swell in size made his heart skip a beat. If only Marvin could see this guy, Rec thought to himself.
"If you think that intimidates me then you don't have a shot at taking my title, big guy."
The Oversizer effortlessly pulled the ropes down and stepped right into the ring, rising even higher above his opponent as the two took their places to begin. Both had to crane their necks to stare the other down, neither letting themselves show weakness against their mutually smug stares.
"I don't need to intimidate you to win. I just need to pin you down, little guy," said the Oversizer.
"Bigger men than you have tried," replied the Strangler.
"Oh, I doubt that'll hold true for long."
Before the champion could continue the trash talk, the bell rang and the match began.
One day I wondered what Marvin would look like in a masked wrestling outfit and it all went downhill from there. I also got super motivated to model a wrestling arena up and like all environments I was into it up until I realized I had to make the whole thing. Thankfully for this I could make a lot of it out of simple repeatable pieces so there wasn't too much extra I had to model for it. I also tried out some basic crowds for this sequence, and while they aren't super visible due to the lighting that is a good thing because they turned out kind of bad and were really time-consuming to set up anyway.
And just in case it isn't obvious, they do not recognize each other. They're so secretive about their hidden wrestling careers that neither would think the other would ever have anything to do with it. Also they're idiots because it's funny.
