He's an irritable one, Gregor. Been in the paramedics division since well before WWII, and in fact left Germany during Hitler's regime, claiming "Zis guy ees a dunsheiss"(I beleive that would roughly be "dumbshit" in German).

Cranky concerning the turn that Germany was taking, he left for the French countryside, travelling here and there, making meager earnings as a "miracle worker", especially in areas that the nazis had already marched through.

After the war, he travelled back to his homeland, intent on aiding in the rebuilding of the country. Though with every patient he saw, every soldier he treated, he made sure to remind them of how much of an idiot they were. So disillusioned he was with his own country that even though his actions spoke of a man trying to help, his speech mannerisms became hateful and sarcastic, intent on reminding everyone he treated of their mistakes and how bad they needed to feel because of them.

Eventually he once again became fed up with his home country, especially after the building of the Berlin Wall. He travelled to other countries, continuing his sarcastic medical work, when he was contacted by a certain organization...

Redmond Mann, eager to discover new ways to extend his life, had heard of Gregor's exploits across France and Germany, and sent out an invitation to Gregor, among many others, to join his private.. "employment".

Thus did Gregor enter the world of Team Fortress 2.

TL;DR He's like House, only older and German.


I know that's a lot of story for a TF2 character, but when you get into the world of TF2 and read the comics and established lore, you sort of get interested in all of the little quirks here and there. And thus Gregor was born.

Also he's usually stationed at Gravel Pit.
