This is a bit sudden, but since this is the month I am focusing on commissions, it allowed me to take a step back and look at the game/progress... and what I realized is that 90% of the slow downs I have are caused because of programming in a new engine that my game is not made for. So... I switched :D
Godot is AMAZING, and I can't even describe how easy it is. In 7 days, I achieved what previously took me 7 MONTHS with rpg architect!
