Have you ever felt it? That smooth, gentle blend of thrill and safety - the kind of feeling you only get when someone, who could end you in a thousand different ways, chooses to simply hold you close instead. The kind of feeling only available to those that sense the danger, acknowledge it, but flock towards it all the same... and get really, really lucky.
...
There are very few people in the world who would find themselves at ease around a wasp, let alone someone like Buzz. And yet, here he was, soft, squishy, pathetic... getting close, leaning in, even touching him, eugh...
Buzz's instincts, habits, and years of experience all demanded that he punch the clingy human in the gut, backhand him or simply shove him away at least. But Buzz held back. Even Markus himself would never truly know just how ever-present this desire was, but even so, he held back and allowed the human to have his way - allowed him to smile, laugh, cling to him, and make him tea with extra sugar, just how he liked it...
Because despite his gruff demeanour, despite his genuine - if petty - spite for all living things, despite every fiber of his being itching to deny it, Buzz had to admit, at least to himself...
That this felt kind of nice.
