Originally it sounded really depressing. The synth lead was originally a violin and it played much slower. That was before I wrote the rest of it. So, to be honest, I really don't know what the theme is. Would have been a sad song, but with everything else added, it sounds more upbeat. It actually reminds of of western movies or something, now. Not sure why that is.
I couldn't agree more. I named it a long time ago, when I originally started writing it. Of course, when I started writing it, it sounded significantly more depressing. So "crushed" came to mind. (you know.... Your hopes and dreams are crushed.... That's depressing, right?) I would come up with a new name, but I suck at that. lol
