In his last video of 2024, Perun tackled the Elbonian Challenge : to sell some of the worst aircraft of WWII to a fictional government and get away with it. One of the planes presented was the Me163, which reminded me of another rocket-powered interceptor called the Bachem Natter.
I wondered if you could built a modern version, replacing the dangerous hypergol propellants with a bundle of solid rocket motors from MLRS munitions. Each rocket motor is powerful enough to propel the aircraft but only run for 2-3 seconds, so they must be ignited sequentially.
