Jaleel was perfectly cast as Sonic. After all, he spent half his life playing a lanky, annoying guy who makes life miserable for a fat dude with a bad temper.

I have only ever seen that episode of the Simpsons ONCE.
And I was a lot younger back then. Close to a decade and a half ago.

...and that scene is STILL stuck in my head.

It's a pretty unforgettable scene.

It's sad, it took me aout a full minute of going from point A to point B to point C in my mind before I finally got the joke.

*Chuckles* The day when you realize the best nerd on television is also the coolest hedgehog around; twelve year old minds blown.

Jaleel's voice back then fit perfectly for Sonic in my opinion and gave the impression that he was truly a young and hotheaded hero, and even when they changed his voice later on for the sonic adventure games I could see how his voice cracked into the one of today; a more mature sounding hero.
