Sorry for the small gap in posting, I got a little occupied.
Here is the last commission I made in 2020 (literally finished in the last days of december), for my friend  jacktudyks featuring their partner  cassmutt.

It was quite fulfilling to portray another artist at work - Cass is painting themselves and their partner on the rib vault ceiling of a small chapel. I have taken the liberty of putting different small details around the room, such as sketches, blobs of paint tryouts, half-finished stars and the like; as well as a lot of little objects to give it character, which I have grown to become really fond of drawing. The little bottles, containers and other oddities let the artpiece feel less stiff and flesh out the setting.

Cass is clothed in typical XIVth century european fashion: red stirrup style hosen with a cord under the knee, a two-tone blue cotehardie with a buttonable tail cover, which is tightened at the waist with a decorative belt, and off of which hangs a small green pouch (or purse), and lastly a yellow chaperone (my favorite type of medieval headwear).
