Here we have both versions of Groo side-to-side!
We see Groo in his natural fur colouration of the left; and then on the right there is Groo with his usual dyed fur pattern, sporting his bottom-less pouch bag around his waist.
Now look at those feet... so true to that of an actual kangaroo, fitting perfectly well Groo's feral legs. Oh, and if you haven't noticed, Groo is an anthro Eastern Grey Kangaroo, however he is feral-like below the waist.. yes, that's right, his privates are 100% feral-roo style!
