I had an overwhelming urge to draw an axolotl, so I came up with Tex. Normally they're white with red gills, but there is a brown variant that I liked more due to the fact that the gills were more of a purple colour, so I made him brown. :P
I know Tex is actually a fairly boring name. However, according to Wikipedia anyways, axolotls were originally found in Lake Texcoco, which is where the city of Mexico was built. Also, you can get these guys in pet stores if you know where to look.
I also have an overwhelming urge to make Tex a fursuit. Wouldn't that be weird?
