Luca inherietd the red hair and golden eyes of the Leone family. It was their most striking feature, and it was tradition to name only a child with golden eyes to be Secundus (akin to crown prince), the next-to-be sovereign of the House. Of course, once he turned Wolf his eyes became the same coal black as any Wolf's.
