Wanted to make a little short animation to test out LeoDaModeler's Athena model and experiment with clothes.
I love the model, it's very well done! Blows my mind that it's available for free. Definitely check this artist out!
The animation is not perfect by any means. I really struggled with clothes (especially the bloody pants!) and you may notice that the cloth sim ends abruptly. I fiddled with the sim settings as much as i could, but the result just wasn't right enough, so i went with this... But hey, can't learn without making mistakes i suppose.
In the end, i'm happy with how it turned out, despite it's flaws.
Anyway, gonna take a break for real now from personal projects. Hope i'll get around to making more stuff in the future, see you until then!

I think you should be more easy on yourself.
Yes I know some force is needed to improves, but I actually didn't the those wrongs with the pants you talk about in the description. I believe you those are there, but if an average viewer like me didn't notice them, even with you pointed out clearly where they are then what's the point to fix something what cause has no effect on the viewer.
One day! When you became an ultimate animation illustrator! ^^ You can fix this too as there's nowhere else you can be improve more and perfect this one as your last flaw in animation. :)
Until then, I think that would impact more on your work if you sort out what is where you can achieve more noticeable improvements, things what your viewer more easily notice. :)
Anything else you can postpone to a later time when you're 98% perfect! ^^

Thank you for the feedback and for the positive words, i really appreciate that!
Don't worry, i respect what i do and i'm aware of the things you mention. Artists are their own worst critics after all, regardless of skill. But i think i'm doing okay on that front. There is actually a lot of wild stuff happening that viewer won't notice/see in my works.
To be honest, i'm not aiming to be the best, but good enough to make characters move naturally and feel alive. As long as i can achieve that i'm happy!

If you don't mind I would give you a little thing what could improve this short animation of yours, and I think you already know how to do it.
Make move a just a little the plant's leaves as the character comes, then stop.
Make it move again more subtle as the character turns and undress and sits.
You know the air what the character is supposed to push as she moves. :)
No need to be accurate! Just move it randomly and observe what you feel. Does it improve the animation or not. ;)
In my imagination it would give the animation a much more realistic feeling. ^^

Funnily enough i did consider doing it, but felt like the effect is going to be barely noticable and making it too strong looked awkward to me. The same with additional bed impressions for the tail and hand.
But thanks for letting me know regardless, lets me know there are people who are looking for that.
