Sodom - That's What An Unknown Killer Diarized
...so give me your hand
Never weeping over victims, never feeling so bad
Tides of running blood upon my face
Caressing my soul like a sweet embrace
Passionate, secret and profound
Gleaming eyes of uncharitable love
Shuffling out of mental claws to find a resort
Champagne of desire still oozing from my pores
I cannot resist the guileful brightness of your eyes
And your body with limbs that drag behind
Consider this a week late Valentine's Day drawing, reflecting my own cynical outlook on the holiday and the artwork put out by normies who have romantic lives. I was listening to a certain Sodom song around V-Day and the idea for a new drawing hit me, so once the Hadvar/Harriet thing was done and uploaded, I immediately set out to work.
It did take me a bit of brainstorming to figure out the species of our love birds (heh) before settling on Iguanodon and I liked the idea of trying in some way to establish this couple in the state depicted here, as set in around 1997, in line when the Sodom album Til Death Do Us Unite was released. It mostly just boiled down to the male's rimless eyeglasses, inspired by those worn by Troy Pollux in Face/Off and the villain in Tomorrow Never Dies.
The basic gist is that the fellow depicted here is very protective of his girlfriend and even her various friends, to the point of following them everywhere. He keeps an eye on these ladies and their respective boyfriends, making sure the latter are on the straight and narrow; anyone who harms the former he dispatches with a frightening precision and calculation. He has already "taken care" of a sleazy college professor soliciting of his girlfriend and a stalker ex-boyfriend of one of her friends, much to her utter horror. The young lady feels smothered by her boyfriend, yet fears the prospect of trying to separate from him, else he do something unspeakable to her.
