Due to his parents he has a unique combination of the two of them, his feathers are water repelling and fire resistant, his wings are able to be litten on fire due to the oily substance the wing feathers can be coated in. (mixture of hydrophobic oil that waterproof bird feathers and flammable liquid a dragon uses for breathing fire)
