BTW, what does the blending tool look like? I'm using CS2 photoshop and I can't seem to find it ^^;;;

Got anything in there labelled "water", "blur", "blend", ect? It should be with the pens and brushes. I don't know much about PS's layout though.

Got blur in PS. I also got SAI (thought don't use it much)

Try blur in PS. If that doesn't work too well, try this out in SAI :3

Nice, I've got to remember to start with colors darker then I want to start with. How do you choose the darkness for the shadow and highlight?

Basically, I start by coloring in with the color I want, save the color on another layer, then make the hair darker by adjusting the lighting filter. -40 to -50 will do. Keep in mind that this only works with SAI >:
