Seraphim's birth happened in a pitch black room. For ages, frail creatures took care of it, without knowing why. Something called them, the feeling, that one day, this creature sleeping here could help them in return. So they waited in silence. Their only source of light was this egg, and the only music they knew was its massive heartbeat.
They could have eaten it, destroy it, stay in shadow, but they knew.
One day Seraphim will save them.

Ah, so this is why the minions are with Seraphim, she's their savior and/or goddess. But how did, honest question, the sexual aspect of the cult become a thing? Is this how Seraphim returns the favor to the minions for not destroying the egg, giving them the many gifts of pleasure that life offers, or is Seraphim doing it because of love for them or other reasons?
What a super cool narrative piece. Really really neat seeing the bird people and the mottled design to them, and the way they worship and gather around the egg. I love the look of Seraphim as well, the detail of the body shape of the fetus and the sense of glow. Absolutely marvelous work, and it really helps tighten that bond between Seraphim and its servants, and how their relationship has always been a two-way street.
