Hmm... what is it you don't like about them? Is it the fringe on his boots, or how high the boots are?
Anyway, at least it beats the original design. He used to be in just jeans and a t-shirt with leather shoulderpads. He used a spear then and had no backstory whatsoever. His hair was completely different too.
