This is a personal piece I’ve wanted to do for a really long time, that I’ve finally decided to do. It is based on a story I heard once from a close friend, who as an act of facing their fears, once spent some time alone in the wilderness. Away from their home, away from their family, away from everything.
Ever since I first heard this story, I’ve always had this image in my head. Although I routinely enjoy trips through the forest at night, I am never far away from safety and comfort, I can’t imagine that true isolation. Despite no longer being around, I still think about this scene often.
